EDWARD'S is a casual restaurant and bar at 136 W. Broadway in New York City’s picturesque Tribeca neighborhood, offering lunch, brunch and dinner, and had opened in October 2001.
We made a short visit on Saturday July 27 2024 for drinks to cool down in the summer heat after a visit to the nearby Hook & Ladder #8 firehouse.
We enjoyed:
πΊ Bud Light (bottle) = $8.00
πΊ Six Point (draft) = $9.00
π’ NY Sales Tax = $1.51
π° Total = $18.51
π Gratuity = $2.00 per drink
Our friendly server did well getting the simple order right, as I had lost my voice and struggled to even croak words out! The Six Point was a local beer, brewed in the nearby borough of Brooklyn.
We’ve been in many bars across the U.S. but this was actually the first bar we’d visited in New York City. It was quiet, with maybe a couple of people sat inside and the same at the tables outside. We wondered if it was busier during the working week.
This visit to New York City was a short one, and had we more time, we probably would have lounged longer at Edward’s and perhaps tried the cocktails and food which smelt temptingly good!
