We don’t get to McDONALD’s much these days when travelling across the U.S. but couldn’t resist calling into the small McDonald’s at Boston North Station early on the morning of Monday Aug 5, 2024 while en route to Martha’s Vineyard.
It had only opened 3 months early and consisted of several touch screens and a serving hatch - very much a grab and go service. It was very small and had apparently cost over a $1 million!
We tried:
🥩 Steak Egg McMuffin = $7.19
☕️ Premium roast coffee
🍔 Sausage Egg McMuffin = $8.29
🥚No egg, extra sausage = $2.19
🥤 Orange juice = $1.40
😢 Tax = $1.33
💰 Total = $20.40
The sandwiches were covered in butter and the flavors were great - particularly the steak McMuffin - just what you need when you’re peckish for a second breakfast!
McDonald’s has been on the National news recently about how it is now an expensive eatery and these prices show that to be true.
The highlight of this visit, however, was getting to see the guys delivering the frozen McDonald’s products; It was surprising just how much stock a small McDonald’s needs, showing that hungry commuters aren’t deterred by the prices!
